Summary
The City of Forest Park Police Department, which is located at 320 Cash Memorial Boulevard, opened in 1993. In addition to serving as the main base for police operations, the new facility also operated as a jail, which housed inmates prior to them being transferred to county jail or released on bail, and a municipal courtroom.
The jail was decommissioned in the early 2000s and now serves as a popular filming location for film, TV, and music productions in the state of Georgia.
The municipal courtroom is still in operation, and has also gained popularity as a filming location in Clayton County.
