INFORMATION FOR NEW BUSINESSES
Before you sign a lease, we highly recommend that you submit a zoning verification application prior to leasing or purchasing the business location to determine if the location is zoned for your business type. Please note as of March 1, 2021, there is a $75 administrative fee for the Zoning Verification review. Zoning Verification forms are to be submitted in person at our Planning, Building, and Zoning Department. An email will be sent to confirm or deny approval.
Zoning Verification Application with Instructions
There is an annual $75.00 Administrative fee (non-refundable) for each new Occupational Tax Application. Applicants shall provide an estimate of their gross receipts and the number of employees for the rest of the year. The estimate will be changed to actual figures when renewed for the following year. Please see below for the New Commercial Business License Packet.
NOTE: The business open date is when you submit your application, however, your business cannot begin operation until you have received your PAID Occupational Tax Certificate. Once received, the current year's PAID Certificate must be posted in plain view of the public.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION: A Business Tax Application can be obtained online or in person. All documents need to be submitted at the City of Forest Park Business License Department located at 745 Forest Parkway, Forest Park, Georgia 30297.

RESTAURANTS, FOOD SERVICE, TATTOO BUSINESSES, MEDICAL OFFICES:
All food establishments must obtain a food service permit from the State Environmental Health Department or Department of Agriculture (depending upon the business)
