Forest Park Municipal Court
The Municipal Court of Forest Park has jurisdiction over traffic offenses, local ordinances, and most misdemeanor non-traffic offenses. Most citations can be paid before the court without a court appearance, but some charges require an appearance in court.
AS OF JANUARY 1, 2024, THE FOREST PARK MUNICIPAL COURT WILL
NO LONGER HOLDS VIRTUAL COURT.
The Administration of Forest Park Municipal Court ensures accuracy of each court record, accounts for each fine and fee, and strives to provide fair and dependable adjudication across all cases — all while providing courteous and professional service to the community.

When is the court in session?
The court is in session every Wednesday for arraignment hearing starting at 1 p.m. Environmental Court is held every month on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays, except on major holidays. You can find your scheduled court date and time on your citation.
When are trials held?
Trials are held every Wednesdays beginning at 8 a.m.
Court date Continuances
Court dates may be continued by court personnel only ONCE. Please note that any additional continuances must be granted by the judge on the scheduled court date. Continuance requests must be made before noon on the last business day prior to the scheduled court date for arraignment court and no later than 5 business days prior to the scheduled court date for trial court. All continuance requests on the day of court must be granted by the judge in court.
Requesting a Trial
You must appear on your arraignment date, which is shown on the citation. A trial will be scheduled at that time. All motions for jury trials and/or indigent defense representation require a court appearance.
Failure to Appear
If you have not paid your fine before the scheduled court date and fail to appear or are late for a scheduled court appearance, your fine will be increased for a contempt of court charge. The increased amount is at the sole discretion of the presiding judge. Failing to appear may also result in a bench warrant being issued for your arrest and/or a suspension of your Georgia driving privileges. To get your case rescheduled, after a failure to appear, you are required to pay the contempt of court fee assessed by the judge.
Interpreter: A Spanish interpreter will be present in court. If other language interpreters are needed, please contact the court at least one week prior to your scheduled court date.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
You may contact the Municipal Court at (404) 366-4720 for the fine amount. Fine amounts are not available for cases that require a court appearance until you have appeared in court. You may pay your fine in person, by mail, by phone or online.
Fine payments are accepted at the Municipal Court at 320 Cash Memorial Blvd., Forest Park, GA 30297 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 pm. Payments may be made in person the day prior to your assigned court date. Online and phone payments must be made no later than 24 hours before your scheduled court date. If not paid, you must appear in court on the date listed on your citation. If you have missed your scheduled court date, you cannot pay by phone or online.
If your case requires a court appearance, you cannot pay any of your fines until you have appeared in court and a plea has been entered on the case with the presiding judge.
If you are unable to pay your fines and need to pay the fines over a period of time, you will need to appear in court where you will have the option of requesting probation.
PERSONAL CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED FOR TRAFFIC FINE PAYMENTS AT ANYTIME.
- There is a 5% service (convenience) fee added to the payment for all credit/debit card transactions.
- Payments made in person can be cash, money order or credit/debit card.
- Credit/debit cards payments can also be made online at pay.justice-one.us or by phone at (678) 359-2783. If you have missed your scheduled court date, this option is not available, and your payment must be made in person.

Please make sure the citation number(s) appear on the money order. This number is at the top right corner of the citation. If you no longer have the citation(s) contact the Municipal Court at (404) 366-4720 to get this information.
If you are not required to appear in court and choose not to appear, you must pay your citation by the last business day prior to the scheduled court date (4:30 p.m. in person or 24 hrs. online). Payments cannot be made on the day of court until you have been seen by the Judge and a plea has been entered into the case.
Attorneys of Record
Before representing a defendant in Court, an attorney must first file an Entry of Appearance before the scheduled court date and time in person, by mail, or email with the Clerk’s office.
In any area of conflict, the Court requests at least 30 days of notice prior to the scheduled court date and time.
Regarding newly retained cases, the Court requests at least a 48-hour courtesy notice prior to the scheduled court date and time.
Probation
Professional Probation Services, Inc. (PPS) has contracted with Forest Park Municipal Court to manage the Probation Division. This division monitors defendants who are required to follow special conditions by the Court, in addition to those who are unable to pay their required fines and/or fees on their scheduled court date.
