Procurement Division

The City of Forest Park upholds principles of fairness and transparency in its procurement practices, ensuring equal opportunity, non-discrimination, and compliance with relevant laws. We strictly adhere to the city's ordinances and procurement code, which mandate that bids or proposals exceeding $10,000 for goods and services, or bids for public works under Chapter 91 of Title 36 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (O.C.G.A), are posted on the Georgia Procurement Registry and require approval from the City Council for awards. Our department promotes fiscal responsibility across all purchases, even those not subject to formal bidding processes.

Our primary objective is to secure the best value for city residents, fostering cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness. Upholding the highest standards of integrity, trust, and ethical conduct is paramount to us.

To modernize our procurement procedures, the City of Forest Park will transition to a new eProcurement solution, OpenGov, enabling us to move from paper-based bid solicitations to a fully automated, web-based electronic bidding and vendor management system. We invite valued vendors to register early with their companies to receive email notifications regarding Bid/RFP opportunities from the City of Forest Park.

Simply click here to register your company or business. Upon registration, you will receive an email to activate your account. For further assistance with registration, please refer to our Vendor Registration Help (or a more specific name for the help file). Registration for vendors is entirely free of charge! Click here to view the Procurement Process Enhancements Vendor Letter.
