City Hosting Annual Veterans Day Celebration On Nov. 11

FOREST PARK, Ga. — Nov. 2, 2022 — The general public is invited to attend the City of Forest Park's Annual Veterans Day Celebration taking place on Friday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Elaine Corley Recreation Center, located at 803 Forest Pkwy.

This year's program will include Posting of the Colors, musical selections, award presentations, food and more. A special proclamation will also be presented to Forest Park resident and military veteran Rudolph Valentino Wesley in celebration of his 100th birthday.   

“Veterans Day is a special date in which we should all take a moment to reflect on the extraordinary contributions made by the countless number of brave individuals who served in the armed forces,” Mayor Angelyne Butler, MPA. "As a nation, it is important for us to remember that freedom is not free. It is an honor to have the opportunity to thank those who have displayed some of the highest levels of patriotism."
