City Manager Appoints Nigel Watley As Interim Director of Public Works
FOREST PARK, Ga. — Oct. 11, 2024 — Effective immediately, Nigel Watley has been appointed Interim Director of the Forest Park Public Works Department by City Manager Ricky L. Clark, Jr., taking over for Mr. Bobby Jinks who recently retired after more than 30 years of service.
Prior to his appointment, Watley served as the Deputy Director of Public Works since 2022 and has been an integral part of the team since 2017. In his new role, Watley will assume all responsibilities associated with the role, overseeing the department's operations and initiatives. He also possesses an extensive background in general contracting, showcasing expertise in various disciplines, including HVAC systems, electrical installations, carpentry, plumbing and more.
"Mr. Watley's diverse skill set and hands-on experience allows him to navigate the complexities of public works. I am confident that during this interim period, while we conduct a thorough search for a permanent director, Mr. Watley will diligently and effectively fulfill his responsibilities, ensuring that the needs of the citizens and businesses of Forest Park are met with the highest standards of service," said Clark.
