FOREST PARK, Ga. Oct. 4, 2023 — Today, the City of Forest Park Economic Development Department released a Request for Proposals (RFPs) for nine separate properties within target areas for developers to review. The RFPs are indicative that the city remains "Open For Business and Development."

The revitalization of Forest Park’s Main Street formally a commercial corridor developed in the 1960s is a priority for the city in order to help attract more restaurants, entertainment, commercial services and new residents to the area. To drive this revitalization, the city has completed a Livable Communities Initiative that foresees this growth, while also establishing an Entertainment District on Main Street to provide high-quality living.

"The release of this RFP demonstrates that we are serious about the redevelopment of our community and our wish for this municipality to become the economic engine for Clayton County," said Mayor Angelyne Butler, MPA. "Forest Park is truly a city for every season, whether you are a first-time investor or experienced investor."

RFPs for the following properties are now available on the city's website:

Through their combined efforts, the City of Forest Park, the Forest Park Downtown Development Authority and the Forest Park Development Authority are collectively seeking developer(s) with proven development and financial ability who shares with the vision of Main Street and can assist the city with bringing that same vision to fruition. To further this, the city is amenable to entering into a development agreement with a qualified developer(s). The city may also consider certain inducements in exchange for achieving mutually beneficial development outcomes.

All RFPs must be submitted to the city by Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 2:30 p.m. To access the RFP documents, visit www.forestparkga.gov/rfps. For questions or additional information, contact the Economic Development Department at (404) 366-4720 (press option 6 on the main menu).
