Hogan Construction Group Selected To Build New Public Safety Facility

New Public Safety Building

FOREST PARK, Ga. — March 10, 2022 — The City of Forest Park has selected Hogan Construction Group LLC. to lead the construction efforts for a new mixed-use public safety building off Anvil Block Road at the Gillem Logistics Center.

Plans for the proposed modern facility include a new fire station, mini-police precinct and a state-of-the-art conference room. At more than 13,200 square feet, the building is slated to replace Fire Station No. 3 and will include three apparatus bays and a modern design layout to better accommodate public safety personnel.

"When it comes to public safety, ensuring that our employees have the right tools and resources gives us the opportunity to provide the highest level of customer service, especially during an emergency," said Forest Park Mayor Angelyne Butler, MPA. "This is a tremendous project for our community, and I truly commend all those who were involved with helping us get to where we are today."

With offices in metro Atlanta and Greenville, S.C., Hogan Construction Group is a full-service contractor that specializes in construction management, planning, site selection and sustainable building practices. The company has successfully completed a wide variety of development projects, including the Forest Park Branch Library, Lilburn City Hall and Library Complex and Vickery Mill Elementary School.

The new public safety facility is expected to be completed by June 2023 at a cost of approximately $8.1 million. Funding for the project will come from a $41 million bond that was secured by the city through the 2015-2020 special-purpose local-option sales tax.
