NEW DATE: City's Annual Holiday Extravaganza Celebration Scheduled For Dec. 9
FOREST PARK, Ga. — Nov. 30, 2023 — Residents, families and visitors looking to get into the holiday spirit are all invited to attend the City of Forest Park's annual Holiday Extravaganza scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9, beginning at 5 p.m.
In partnership with Women of Clayton County, the one-day event will feature the city's popular downtown parade off Main Street and the official lighting of the Christmas tree at Starr Park. Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live performances and plenty of family activities will also be available during the celebration. There is NO COST to attend the event.

When: Saturday, Dec. 9, beginning at 5 p.m. (previous date of Dec. 2 rescheduled due to expected inclement weather)
Where: Parade kicks off at 5 p.m. at 1000 Main St. and ends at the intersection of Lake Drive and Hines Ward Pass; festivities will conclude at the Starr Park Amphitheater.
The following road closures are to be expected in advance of the festivities:
- Intersection of Main Street and Phillips Drive
- Intersection of Main Street and Ash Street (Main Street Fountain)
- Intersection of Lake Drive and Forest Parkway
