Public Input Wanted On Proposed Downtown Pedestrian Bridge

FOREST PARK, Ga. Aug. 15, 2024 — The City of Forest Park is launching a series of public engagement opportunities to receive input on a proposed new pedestrian bridge over SR 331/Forest Parkway and the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks. The project aims to enhance pedestrian connectivity and access to key destinations such as City Hall, Starr Park, and businesses along the city's Main Street corridor.

A community open house event is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Forest Park City Hall, located at 745 Forest Pkwy. The public event will provide an opportunity for residents, business owners and key stakeholders to learn more about the proposed project, ask questions and provide valuable feedback.

An online survey has been made available to gather public input from community members who cannot attend the meeting. Individuals who are interested in completing the survey can do so by visiting the project website at forestparkpedbridge.com. The survey will remain open until Friday, Aug. 23.
