Public Notice: Special Election For Ward 2 City Council Seat
NOTICE TO THE RESIDENTS
OF THE CITY OF FOREST PARK, GEORGIA
PURSUANT TO § O.C.G.A. 21-2-540 you are hereby notified that there will be a Special Election for the purpose of electing a Councilmember for Ward 2 for the City of Forest Park, Georgia. You are further notified that qualifying for said seat shall open on:
- Monday, January 6, 2025, through Wednesday, January 8, 2025, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- (Closed from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. for Lunch)
- City of Forest Park City Hall, located at 745 Forest Parkway, Forest Park, Georgia 30297
The qualifying fee, as prescribed by law, will be required upon qualifying and is as follows:
Councilmembers Ward 2 - $432.00 shall be payable by cash, money order, credit card or personal check. All offices are elected for a four (4) year term. A run-off, if necessary, will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The polling place for holding said Special Election shall be the:

Open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Anyone who desires to vote in this election and is not a qualified voter must register no later than Monday, February 17, 2025, at the approved voter registration site to be eligible to vote.
