Temporary Road Closures Announced For 2024 Forest Park High School Homecoming Parade

FOREST PARK, Ga. — Sept. 24, 2024 — The following temporary road closures will be in effect on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in preparation for the 2024 Forest Park High School Homecoming Parade:

  • Intersection of Main Street and Phillips Drive
  • Intersection of College Street and Finley Drive
  • Intersection of Ash Street and Forest Parkway (south of the railroad crossing)
  • Intersection of Main Street and Evans Drive
  • Intersection of Main Street at North Lake Drive
  • Intersection of Lake Drive and Forest Parkway (both directions)
  • Intersection of Lake Drive at Bennett Alley
  • Intersection of Lake Drive and Georgia Avenue
  • Intersection of Lake Drive and Oak Street

During this time period, traffic lanes will be temporarily blocked off in order to make way for individuals participating in the homecoming parade. The parade will kick off at 3 p.m. from 1000 Main Street and conclude on Hines Ward Pass.

Officers from the Forest Park Police Department will also be stationed around the immediate areas in order to assist with the flow of traffic. For more information, email councilaide@forestparkga.gov.
