Now Accepting Applications For Girls' Future Firefighter Camp

2024 Girls' Future Firefighter Camp

**APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED**

The Forest Park Fire and Emergency Services Department is hosting its second annual Girls' Future Firefighter Camp for Clayton County youth ages 12-17 who want to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to become a certified firefighter and paramedic. 

The FREE two-day camp will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 5: 30 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Gillem Public Safety Building, located at 2090 Anvil Block Road. Led by several female fire professionals who have achieved success in the field, topics covered during the camp will include the following:

  • Fire Service History 
  • Fire Behavior
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • CPR
  • Physical Fitness
  • First Aid
  • Teamwork

Slots for the camp are limited, and participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. To access the application, click the documents enclosed below. All applications and associated documents for the camp must be submitted to Chief Latosha Clemons via email at lclemons@forestparkga.gov by 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.
