SHALONDA BROWN
DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Ms. Shalonda Brown has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Southern New Hampshire University. She started her career in local government in 2001 with the City of Tallahassee. She moved to Georgia in 2005, where she continued her work in local government by working for the City of Alpharetta. In 2006, Ms. Brown began working with CH2M Hill on a project to startup the City of Milton. She worked with the company for 12 years on various startup projects with the last being the City of Tucker. Ms. Brown came to the City of Forest Park as the Executive Assistant to the Mayor & City Manager/ City Clerk in April of 2018. Her hard work and dedication to the City earned her the role of HR Director in April 2020. In November of 2020, Ms. Brown was named as Interim City Manager. Ms. Brown is a very experienced professional that has a unique skillset. She has a devout passion to building and enhancing the community and prides herself on enhancing our employee experiences in the City. Prior to her career in the local government sector Ms. Brown worked with various industries such as: Student Loan, Health Insurance and Public Media. Her areas of expertise include: Loan Rehabilitation, Donor Retention for Public Broadcasting, Utility Billing, Property Tax, Business Licenses, Financial Services, Administrative Services, City Clerk and Human Resources/Organization Management. Ms. Brown has a passion for Human Resources and loves being the voice for the employees and making a difference.
