FOREST PARK, Ga. — Dec. 2, 2024 — The City of Forest Park is inviting all residents, families and visitors to get into the holiday spirit by attending this year's annual Holiday Extravaganza, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Forest Park Amphitheater.

Hosted by Streetz 94.5's Mz. Shyneka, the event will feature the city's popular downtown parade off Main Street and the official lighting of the Christmas tree at Starr Park. Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live performances and plenty of family activities will also be available during the celebration. There is NO COST to attend the event.

Where: Starr Park Amphitheater, located at 803 Forest Pkwy.
When: Saturday, Dec. 7, beginning at 4 p.m. (parade begins at 6 p.m. at 1000 Main St. and ends at the intersection of Lake Drive and Hines Ward Pass)

The following road closures are to be expected in advance of the parade festivities:

  • Intersection of Main Street and Phillips Drive
  • Intersection of Main Street and Ash Street (Main Street Fountain) 
  • Intersection of Lake Drive and Forest Parkway
