The City of Forest Park, along with representatives from the Atlanta Center for Self-Sufficiency, Atlanta Technical College, Calvary Refuge Center, Clayton County Public Schools and Clayton State University, have officially launched ELEVATE, a pioneering program designed to empower individuals facing homelessness, unemployment and underemployment.

ELEVATE is a visionary initiative led by City Manager Mr. Ricky L. Clark, Jr. and adopted by the Forest Park Governing Body designed to confront homelessness with dignity and purpose. Rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the chance to thrive, ELEVATE connects unsheltered individuals to education, workforce training and life-stabilizing resources. This initiative also serves to support unemployed and underemployed residents of the city, as an underserved demographic in our community.

As ELEVATE expands, it is fueling workforce development and laying the foundation for a more vibrant, resilient Forest Park a city where everyone has a chance to rise, contribute, and thrive. Together, the city is working to address homelessness, while also transforming lives and elevating those within the community.

Located off the city's main thoroughfare (819 Forest Pkwy.) and one block from Forest Park City Hall, the new ELEVATE program office will feature modern computer workstations, printers, Wi-Fi access, educational tools and more. Supported by the Forest Park governing body, the program was strategically designed to provide the following FREE resources for local individuals in need:

  • Workforce Empowerment: Intensive job readiness programs, hands-on resume workshops and personalized career coaching.
  • Advanced Skills Training: Industry-leading certifications and immersive training to compete for in-demand jobs.
  • Career Placement & Growth: Direct access to hiring employers, apprenticeship programs and transformative mentorship.
  • Comprehensive Community Support: Vital housing resources, mental wellness services and essential financial literacy programs.

Office operating hours are Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesdays from  9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Orientation sessions will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
