Girls' Future Firefighter Camp

**THE APPLICATION PERIOD HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL FRIDAY, OCT. 5**

The Forest Park Fire and Emergency Services Department is hosting its second annual Girls' Future Firefighter Camp for Clayton County youth ages 12-17 who want to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to become a certified firefighter and paramedic. 

The FREE two-day camp will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 5: 30 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Gillem Public Safety Building, located at 2090 Anvil Block Road. Led by several female fire professionals who have achieved success in the field, topics covered during the camp will include the following:

  • Fire Service History 
  • Fire Behavior
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • CPR
  • Physical Fitness
  • First Aid
  • Teamwork

The application period for this year's camp has been extended until Friday, Oct. 5, at 5 p.m. All application documents must be submitted via email to Chief Latosha Clemons at lclemons@forestparkga.gov
