Medical Director

Chris Edens M.D. 

Dr. Chris Edens received his Medical Doctorate from Mercer University School of medicine in 1995 and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency through Emory University in 1998. He has been a staff physician at several hospitals throughout his career and has acted in the role of Medical Director for several hospitals, EMS organizations, and other healthcare providing facilities. Currently Dr. Edens is the co-founder and medical director at GoMED Mobile Urgent Care providing mobile services to several counties. Dr. Edens also currently serves as the Medical Director of Pruitt Hospice in Union City and is serving as a staff Emergency Department Physician at Upson Regional Medical Center and Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Dr. Edens joined the Forest Park team as Medical Director of the Fire and Emergency Services Department in 2022 and has goals in place to increase the level and ability of our service in providing prehospital care to the citizens we serve.
