Andrew Gelmini

Andrew joined the City of Forest Park Department of Fire and Emergency Services in March of 2011 as an EMT. Andrew work on an ambulance and fire truck in the City earning his Paramedic, several EMS related insturctor certifications, multiple firefighter certifications, and assisting with the EMS division tasks. In 2018 Andrew left the City and served as a Field Training Officer with another service and adjuct paramedic and EMS instructor at Southern Crescent Technical College after completing an Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services at Albany State University. Andrew returned to Forest Park in 2019 as a Firefighter Paramedic. Andrew was placed in the EMS division under the previous Division Chief and began teaching EMT and AEMT classes for new hire employees. Andrew was retitled to EMS Coordinator when the previous Division Chief left the Department. 

Andrew handles EMS related training and drills for employees and works closely with the State to ensure compliance. Andrew also maintains the stock of equipment and medications used in patient care and treatment. He works closely with the Medical Director to maintain and develop outstanding care protocols for patient treatments.
