Mayor and Council Proclamations Recognition

On June 5, 2023, ​a proclamation was presented by the Honorable Mayor Angelyne Butler, MPA, and Forest Park City Council recognizing June 2023 as Immigration Heritage Month.

WHEREAS: Throughout our nation’s history, generations of courageous immigrants from around the world have helped build the American economy, while also influencing the unique character of communities across the United States, and;

On August 1, 2022, ​a proclamation was presented by the Honorable Mayor Angelyne Butler, MPA, and Forest Park City Council recognizing longtime resident Judy Pryor Taylor

WHEREAS: Judy Pryor Taylor has personified the true meaning of excellence and a commitment to public service as a long-term business owner who has lived in the City of Forest Park for nearly 40 years, and;

WHEREAS: The Reverend Dr. Jacques Michel worked as a Rockland County deputy sheriff in the state of New York and was the first Haitian elected to the Rockland County legislature in 2007, and;

WHEREAS: Hines Edward Ward Jr., born March 8, 1976, is a two-time Super Bowl champion and former wide receiver of the National Football League (NFL), and;

Whereas: The City of Forest Park congratulates the Forest Park High School Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team for becoming the 2021 Region 3 5A Runner Up;

WHEREAS: Mary Ann Connelly worked for the Recreation Department for thirty years; from 1984 until her retirement in 2014.  Mary Ann progressed in the positions of Program Director, Program Coordinator and Senior Coordinator;
